Taking good care of a yacht requires experience and knowledge of the construction of the vessel and the systems installed. In general, care taking is divided in: Maintenance, Repairs and Installation.
The experience obtained in different vessels helps when forming an opinion on what to do in different situations. We count with more than 30 years of experience in navigation on different seas and in different circumstances. We worked on vessel of different brands like Oyster, Swan, Amel, Hanse, Hunter, Bavaria, Beneteau, Janneau or Dufour. As well on catamarans built by Fontaine Pajot, Lagoon or Voyage.
Maintenance consists in effecting actions on components to maintain their good working order and prevent unnecessary failures. We propose to follow up the maintenance schemes as indicated by the manufacturer
Repairs consist in correcting a failure to assure correct working order for the future. Sometimes a repair is necessary as a result of lack of maintenance. More often a failure is due to a lifetime of use.
The decision of repairing a failing component or replacing for new depends on price, warranties, new state of art for replacement parts, etc.
Installation of a new component starts with the evaluation of the characteristics required, and the price consequence implied with. Space used by a new installation will no longer be available for other storage. Think about access for future maintenance and take in mind to maintain good access to components already installed.

Kohler, Northern Light, Onan, Westerbeke, Mastervolt or Fisher Panda generators. Max-power, Sleipner, Side-power or BSC bow thrusters. Brunton, Gori, Max-prop or Volvo folding props. Brands like Lewmar, Vetus or Jabsco offer a wide range of products, installed in all types of boats. Mastervolt or Victron manufacture a lot more products than just battery chargers.
